Benefits & Features

Based on the 400 key points, the SKINS TRI400 range is cut for swimming, cycling and running comfort.

Dynamic gradient compression helps accelerate your blood flow to get more oxygen to your active muscles. Increased circulation also helps reduce lactic acid build-up, so you can compete hard from start to finish to smash your previous PB.

Using Elastic Interface® Technology, the ultra-lightweight TRI400 chamois is designed specifically for triathletes looking for maximum comfort and performance.

Strategically placed carbon-infused fabric panels between the thighs mean less chafing, more comfort and a better performance during the final stage of the race.

Love these shorts. I bought these to wear under my baggies when I ride mtb. Having a smaller frame I opt for tri short as opposed to an mtb padded short. The tri short offers padding, jus not in the ' feel like a diaper' padding. I've worn these on multiple 20+ mile trail rides. Great fit, never any issues with comfort . They stay in place and give me the padding in the rear I was looking for. Def my go to shorts now! Love my Skins!

In the tradition of breaking in new kit I tested these Tri shorts on a Half Iron distance race. They felt natural, good fit, pad was sufficient and not to big or to small but just right. The other good thing about these shorts is that they are not too short. Some of the Tri shorts do not have much length in the leg but these are fine as I am 6ft 1 inch. You wont be dissapointed if you buy these.

This product exceeded expectations in everyway! Bought with my Father's Day discount to use for swim and bike training in preparation for the Music City Triathlon in July 2015. Worth every dollar! You will not be disappointed.

first and foremost these are a great pair of shorts at a good price. The chamois is fairly minimal but its a trade off for comfort for the running aspect if you go thicker. I prefer these especially when its hot. Really good fit too. Im 6'3/ 185lbs and a medium was great. i have an above average circumference on the thigh but if you want compression it should be tight. there is a lot of give in these too but whether training or on a race day the last thing you need is a pair of shorts which are moving around. Highly recommend!

I own quite a few Skins which I use for cycling ( road and mountain ) - non cycling Skins I might add as hate padding - bum is hard enough!!.
Decided to give these a go as padding was described as minimal.
Great shorts - padding is minimal and shorts cut for cycling. fit and compression is great but be aware if you are on the border line between sizes go up a size ( I am only 5'8" and chart ref weight and height said large but x large is best for me as have big leg muscles and large was too tight).
There is a lot of reviews on the web ref compression but let me tell you Skins do work ref in my case cycling and ache experienced in the leg muscles - less of so can keep going.
I am what seems to be described in some circles as very experienced in both disciplines.
I wear these by themselves.
Will keep the a400 shorts for summer ( which I also wear by themselves ).

My teammate and I both invested in a pair of these shorts for our multisport (kayak, trail run, MTB) competitions and training. They are well-constructed, super comfortable and fit great. I recently wore the TRI400 Compression shorts for IM Florida along with the matching top. My height is 177cm at 82 kg and the Medium size fit perfectly. To be certain these shorts would work for me, I wore them for a swim and a bike ride before the race. The feel of the compression was good, the chamois pad was thin and great for running, but for those of you who like thicker pads on your tri-shorts for your bike ride, these are on the thin side...which I prefer. After a practice bike ride I experienced a little chaffing along the seam of the chamois, but after washing them, the material softened and I didn't experience this again. During the race, the amount of compression was ideal. My muscles felt fresh and when I would put ice in my shorts to cool down during the run, the leg sleeves would hold the ice nicely against my legs. This works for the TRI400 top too and it really kept my core temp in check on a hot day. Great kit all together and highly recommended.

I have just competed in the shep half ironman wearing my new skins TRI400 top and bottom. They were fantastic. No rubbing, I did not over heat and it was great in keeping me cool. I was a bit worried about the black in the heat but to my surprise I it was by far the best outfit that I have worn. Adding to that it looks fantastic
